Let the introduction work
Begin with the controls and the basic feedback the game gives you. A tutorial can be a place to notice how movement, timing, and information are presented. Resist the urge to change every setting before you have a reference for how the original setup feels.
Ask one small question
Choose something practical to understand: what ends a turn, how a resource is spent, or what a failed attempt teaches. A focused question gives the first session a purpose without requiring a complete guide. Use the game’s own help when a rule remains unclear.
Leave a reason to return
Stop after a natural milestone and make a short note about what you want to try next. The first hour does not need to prove that the entire game was a perfect choice. It only needs to give you enough understanding to decide whether another session sounds enjoyable.
