Before the next turn, read the position again.
A small review can reveal more than a faster sequence of clicks.

Look at what changed
Start with the opponent’s last action or the result of your previous move. Notice newly available routes, exposed units, or a resource that has become scarce. A plan made several turns ago can remain useful, but it should not prevent you from seeing the current position.
Separate the aim from the move
Name the result you want before choosing the action. You may need information, a stronger economy, or a safer connection between positions. Several moves can look attractive while serving different aims. Choosing one purpose makes the trade-off easier to understand.
Review a decision, not your identity
After the match, pick one moment and ask what information you had at the time. Try another continuation if the game allows it. A result is feedback about a particular set of choices, and a useful review ends with something you can test in the next session.
