Keep a tiny notebook of interesting decisions.

Notice a concrete moment

Write about a choice, a surprising rule, a striking sound, or the way a level led you somewhere. A specific detail is easier to remember than a broad rating. You can enjoy a game while remaining curious about the decisions that shape its experience.

Describe before judging

Explain what happened and what you expected. Keeping those separate makes the note useful when you return later. You may discover that a moment which first felt confusing was teaching a rule, or that a small convenience changed the rhythm more than you noticed at the time.

Bring the note into conversation

Share an observation with a friend who has played, without assuming the same reaction. Ask what they noticed in the same section. A good discussion can contain disagreement; the point is to see the game from another position, rather than arrive at a single approved verdict.
